Morning all, I'm about to head off out for my final day of pre-season training here in Monaco, the weather has been lovely, and I'm really feeling like my condition has been improving. At the start PST I was slightly behind the rest, having had a light second half of the season last year, so it's been a great opportunity to improve my fitness and get to know the lads.
Away from training we've had some fun around Monaco, I shall leave that one with the phrase- Il Cassano, Party Animal. We've been around for a couple of weeks now so I'll be glad to get home tomorrow, as the training over the last few days has been some pretty intensive work, which whilst effective, isn't the most enjoyable thing in the world.
The next few races are unlikely to feature me too heavily, i'm not a classics rider, and as such, I'll leave that to the guys who enjoy it, I would be lying @Alexander if i didn't admit i'd love to take home something from the grand tours, i'm no spring chicken, and a win in a GT would be a fantastic achievement for the team, and something i long to provide.
The manager has already made it clear that the Giro, is his big target for the season, and as such, i feel it right to make it a personal target aswell, there are enough hill and mountain stages that I may be able to force some form of a lead, and the team should be able to control breaks, on the flatter stages.
That's all from me for now, I've got to go do yet another day, killing myself in intensive training... Bliss.
Boss says i should let you all know that it's rider Xou Zheng, who will be making the next update by the way, so any questions for Xou, leave in the comment box below, and he'll be able to answer them when he's back from San Luis.
